Why
we started the company
Being lifetime
pet owners we have experienced firsthand the stress endured by pets
that are away from their families. These stresses occur from putting
your pets in impersonal kennels while on vacation keeping them at
home for extended periods of time while at work or leaving them
in unfamiliar locations with friends and family. Worse than the
stress alone, we have witnessed in day care centers and dog parks
bouts of violent behavior due to lack of supervision or careless
attendants. After experiencing this we were then compelled to organize
and start our own service, a service that is committed to keeping
pets and owners safe from the harms of stress, unprofessional service,
or substandard care.
What
sets us apart from the competition
Due to our
experience with such services in the past, we were sure that we
could provide a level of care that far exceeds anything currently
on the market. Of course we provide all of the additional perks
that the other companies provide:
- Refreshing
food and water bowls
- Taking out the trash/recycling
- Altering lights and blinds
- Watering plants
- Bringing in mail/papers
- Visual security checks
But
we also have come up with five very distinct points that make us
unique and stand out from other services.
- Communication
We are
proud to keep all lines of communication opened with our clients
at all times. We will text, email, or call (your choice) before
and after our service is rendered. We will also give you status
updates on what happened during the walk/visit or just let you
know how it went.
- Environmental
Sustainability
We use
100% biodegradable poo bags, and environmentally friendly
products such as the Urbana Pet Assistance reusable canteen
instead of a plastic throw away water bottle. We offer an
e-billing option for all payments and use only green friendly
cleaning products. We are green oriented in all things we
do.
- Pet
Health
This
is very close to our hearts. All the treats we provide are
void of unnecessary sugars and high fructose corn syrup; we
only choose the best and healthiest treats for our four legged
friends! Any medications we administer will be done strictly
according to doctors orders and we will contact your own pet
clinic during any emergencies we may experience.
- Continuing
Education
We undergo pet first-aid training
through the American Red Cross. We are committed to ensure
the best service available.
- Animal
Attention
At Urbana
Pet Assistance, we are animal enthusiasts and animal lovers.
We toil endlessly thinking of better ways to get kitties to
purr and how best to make puppies happy. In addition to this,
we all have PhD’s in tummy rubbing and back scratching,
with Master’s degrees in cage cleanliness and woof-ology,
and Bachelor’s degrees in purr mechanics with a minor
in bird maintenance.
